Troubleshooting

Since the files are encrypted, if something bad happens to the file, you may be out of luck.

If the student has simply changed their password, the teacher should be able to import their file in, "change their password" (Click on the student, and you should see a button to do this), and then re-write their file.

Backup Files

It may also be helpful to know that EduNetworkBuilder makes rotating backups in the AppData\EduNetworkBuilder directory. On Windows 10, this is:

  • c:\users[username]\AppData\Roaming\EduNetworkBuilder

Remember how changing the name of a file makes it unable to load? You will need to copy the backup file somewhere, rename it to the original name, and then try to use it. Trying to load the backup file with a -01, -02, or whatever at the end, will not work. It will tell you that the file has been renamed or tampered with. So, rename it back to the original name, and it should work fine.
